So I'm still not really sure how I feel about this book. First, it was free, otherwise I really don't know how I would've stumbled onto it. The first few chapters made me think "Wait, it did say paranormal romance, right? Not just romance?" Then all of the sudden it turns into a little too much of a forced smuttiness (or as I've called it before, rapey). I mean, yeah, I eventually get over it and continue with the book, but it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Similar to the way I felt when I read the Immortals After Dark book. I mean, it really had some good smut -- it would've been better off just leaving it a single paranormal love story, rather than making it some paranormal love triangle with some kinda forced smut scenes. That being said, I added 3 of her other books to my "to-read" shelf :-)Tags : Divine Liaisons: Erra - Kindle edition by Poppet. Divine Liaisons Erra edition by Poppet Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
The absolute worse book I've ever read from . Too many adjectives to cover vague characters and the insane story line, even for a paranormal. No one, absolutely no one, is as stupid and gullible as Sarah. I didn't care whether she lived or died, who she slept with or why. I am mad that I purchased all three books at once. If any time there was a money-back guarantee, I would take up the offer for a refund. I need to read something else fast to get this awful story out of my mind.
I love the way Poppet has taken history and research and made a story that could be. With an open mind and an open heart anything is possible. For those who know what history actually says about religion this isn't really that far fetched it makes you think and it makes you feel. I love the characters in this book who aren't really bad just making bad decisions. Its so easy to love and route for them all. I love this story. It is refreshing and different from alot of others out there.
Well, she's done it again. I first read Seithe, the first book in the Pravus series, and then I decided to try Erra. It did not disappoint me! Poppet is a very gifted storyteller. (No, I do not know her at all-I'm just an avid reader) As much as I wanted to dislike Erra/Eric, I just couldn't! Again, I fell right into the web she weaves with in her stories, and found myself entwined with the characters just like before. I can't wait to read the rest of this series-it's worth any amount of money. Read Erra, and you'll fall in her web as well!
Please don't let my review title mislead you. This book has touched me like no other. I have read reviews of this work that, after reading them, led me to believe that their hearts are not fully open. Of course, it just might not be a story for them. This story spoke to my heart. I was and am so emotionally immersed. I have a growing interest in theology and a definite love for god. I also feel myself to be extremely open minded.
Erra, by far, spoke to me. At no time was I ever lost or confused by the writing and I could not put it down. I don't want to give anything away in a review but I felt the story was well written with great depth. I am anxious to read the research behind it.
Thank you Poppet!
I had no expectations when I picked up this book, although I've read Poppet before and she's amazing, so i anticipated it to be great and I wasn't disappointed.
I was taken in immediately and then needed a cold shower when I hit the hot and scorching. I lived on an emotional roller coaster while I was thrown through loops wondering what was going to happen to Erra, Sarah and Dusty. Punched in the gut with shock and then soothed by Poppet's wonderful rhythm of words. Wit.Tension.Passion. I sampled a taste of everything in Erra. Complex characters, redemption and lessons learned. And my favorite a love story that had me wrapped up in its arms. Wonderful read Poppet, thank you.
Such a wonderful message. Truth or not, this is how I'd like to look at the world. Humans are sick, sad, lonely and full of hatred. If we could only embrace the philosophy and integrate into our daily lives, live would have more meaning. This is the 2nd time I've read this. It has more meaning RIGHT NOW than any other book I've read...and that's a whole lot! I hope this is the truth. I could live easier and love with MORE believing this. Thank you author!
Wow! How should I start. Brilliant, fabulously sexy, suspenseful, filled with knowledge that will blow most of our brains out. I am a stay at home mother of a 2 year old about to be a mother of two ) I schedule my free time for reading to keep my mind sharp. With kids I feel it's the only way to keep my adult intelligence and to keep my mind open for my family and myself. The first book I read was about a month ago called Seithe, it blew me away just as ERRA did. I was entirely unaware of what I was opening when I donwloaded ERRA. For those who want to trash this authors hard work and dedication to giving us readers not only an erotically exciting but also knowlegdable book can go read someone else. This book is something to be treasured and the minute I get to the chance to by a hard copy of every Poppet book known to man, especially ERRA, I will. ERRA pulled me under and I submitted completly wanting to open my soul the way Dustin did with Sarah/Lilt. I am by far an official groupie, Poppet. Please continue to keep me sane! haha. I love your writting and can not wait to read more of your books. )
